Clydach
A clockwise circuit around Swansea City, starting and ending at The Railway Inn Killay. Initially flat route starting out on cycle path to Gowerton, then on road, with shortish climb with max gradient of 7% to turn off for Fforestfach. After crossing Caramarthen Rd, there is a 3.5km climb with gradient between 1 and 9% to Mynyddbach. Undulating but tending to downhill all the way to Clydach via Llangyfelach and Craig Cefn Parc. Choice of cafes in Clydach, then initially via canal cycle path, then on road, with gentle climb 4km up to Birchgrove with short stretches up to 9%. We descend steeply (max 15%) for 2.5km into Skewen, with a short climb (0.5 km) up the Old Road, with max gradient of 11%. Gentle undulations to Llandarcy, then flat to Jersey Marine, Fford Amazon, the promenade cycle path and back to the Railway. Total ascent of 660 metres.
