Gnoll Park, Neath
Cycle path to seafront and along the promenade to the Marina. NCR 4 to Port Talbot, and NCR 887 up to Pontrhydyfen.
Steep climb (max 15%) out of Pontrhydyfen for .75 mile before dropping through Cimla to the Gnoll park for lunch.
Down into Neath on road to Neath Abbey, Skewen, joining paved cycle path at Birchgrove; follow path to Ynystawe and rejoin road through Morriston and Llangyfelach to Penlan.
Down road through Ported into Fforestfach, Dunant, Gowerton and back to start on cycle path.
40 miles / 65 km with 2150 feet / 655 metres of ascent.
Surface Type: Varied mix of Tarmac/gravel/dirt cycle paths, main roads and quiet lanes.
