A Swansea & Gower Cycling Festival ride: Cycle path to Gowerton and continue through Loughor on road and on to North Dock, Llanelli where we join NCR 47, the Swiss Valley Cycle path. Gentle climb on NCR47 for 3 miles to Horeb, where we rejoin road for short steep half mile – climb (max 10%) to Five Roads. Turning right onto a quiet road with another short climb of approx .8 of a mile (max 5%) before a fast descent to join the main road where we turn left and head through Carway and past Ffos Las racecourse. The ride continues on a gently undulating, though mostly flat road to Kidwelly. There are a choice of cafes for lunch and if time permits, take in a visit to Kidwelly Castle. Leave Kidwelly on road, then cycle path, heading south, then swinging through quiet lane to Pinged, on through Pembrey and joining NCR4 cycle path at Burry Port, onto North Dock, Llanelli, rejoining main road for return to Loughor, and rejoin cycle path at Gowerton and home.
