Cycle path to Gowerton and road to North dock, Llanelli.
Join NCR 47 (Swiss Valley) cycle path for gentle climb (average gradient 2%), to Cynheidre (5.6 miles / 9km).
Join road for fast 1.9 mile / 3km descent to Pontyates (max descent 12%).
Quiet country lanes through Pontnewydd, Glyn Abbey Golf course and Ffos Las, to Kidwelly.
Lunch in Kidwelly and return via Pinged on road and lanes to Pembrey, joining the Millennium coastal path at Burry Port.
On Coast path back to National Wetlands centre, then rejoin road for return to Gowerton, and cycle path back to railway.
Rejoin cycle track to Gowerton and Killay. Ride is approx 47 miles / 75.4km with 1716 feet / 523 metres of climbing.
Highlights: Kidwelly Castle, views of the estuary and north Gower from the cycle path.
