Rhossili
A Swansea & Gower Festival Ride: Head north on cycle path to Dunvant, onto road and up through estate to Three Crosses. West on Cilonnen Road over Welshmoor with great views to the north over the estuary.
On to Llanrhidian, joining North Gower Road for descent to fairyhill, turning south for Burry and Llandewi. Turn right at Scurlage and undulating road, which may be bust, out to the furthest westerly point on Gower, the village of Rhossili. Lunch stop with a choice of cafes.
Return the same route to Scurlage, but continue on main south Gower Road before Llandewi, heading east, before turning left and climbing for approx 1.5 miles, up through Reynoldston to the top of Cefn Bryn (max 10%).
A long, fast descent of close to two miles, before a sharp turn left back to Llanrhidian where the route descends to the Marsh Road for a flat ride back through Penclawdd, and Gowerton where we pick up the cyclepath back to start.
Start and end at Dunvant RFC.
Highlights: Views at Rhossili and from summit of Cefn Bryn.
