Southgate and Three Cliffs
A Swansea & Gower Festival Ride:
Down the cycle path and south around the bay to Mumbles. Swing around Mumbles Head, through Limeslade and up the hill at Plunch Lane.
On through Langland to top of Caswell before swinging right to Newton. Country lanes through Manselfield, Murton and Bishopston, joining South Gower Road for climb up into Kittle.
Flat for the rest of the way through Pennard to Southgate. We follow a narrow lane for approx quarter of a mile, then across the grassy slopes above the cliffs, with one small rocky stretch (you may have to push your bike a short distance), before cycling across teh grass to the fantastic viewpoint overlooking Pobbles, Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich.
Return to Southgate to the cafe for lunch. Return via Pennard, Fairwood Common, Three Crosses, rejoining cyclepath at Dunvant.
Start and end at Dunvant RFC.
