Cycle path north along river on NCR 43 to Clydach, then road to Pontardawe, rejoin cycle path and on to Ystalyfera and Ystradgynlais. Very gently climbing.
Leaving Ystradgynlais, with a short, steep climb (max 15%) to join cycle path, and gentle climb for approx 3.5 miles, then undulating for another 4 miles before 2 mile descent to Glynneath.
Back along Neath Valley, through Resolven, Aberdulais, Cadoxton, Neath Abbey, Skewen, Llandarcy, Jersey Marina and Swansea.

Surface Type: Varied mix of Tarmac/gravel/dirt cycle paths, main roads and quiet lanes.

Hazards: Busy stretch of road Coelbren to Glynneath
Highlights: Look Out for: Cycling along the river, and the cycle path up from Ystradgynlais
