Brechfa Forest & Wind Turbines
A fantastic clockwise loop starting from the car park off Bethlehem Road in Fairfach, and heading west along the Towi Cycle Path to Nantgaredig. Turning north to cross the A40 and head up through Felingwm, Horeb and on into Brechfa village. We take a left out of the village, heading north and west, skirting the forest to reach the high point of Mynydd Llahnfihangel-rhos-y-corn, then shortly after, taking left on a gravel track for 1km to reach the base of one Turbine. Return to main road and descend from high point via Gwernogle, then undulating back to Brechfa. Head east from Brechfa to pick up a quiet country road following the river Cothi as it runs south before swinging east towards Cwrt-Henri, on south below Dryslwyn Castle, to pick up the Twi cycle path and head back to Fairfach.
