Lliw Reservoir
• Flat heading east into Swansea, and on out to Jersey Marine. Over to Llandarcy, through Skewen and on to Neath.
• Approx 4 mile (6km) climb to Alltwen, averaging 4 -5% gradient with small stretches of 7%. Drop down into Pontardawe, and then flat through Trebanos to Clydach.
• Rolling road, then gently climbing before a short, steep (10%) climb up through Craig Cefn Parc (approx. 1.5 miles), then undulating with some steeper bits, (15%) to the turn off for the reservoir. Lunch stop at the cafe.
• Return via Felindre with a .75 mile steepish climb (Max 13%) before a long, exciting descent to Pontlliw. On to the All y Graban Road, before picking up the cycle path south past Gorseinon and onto Gowerton.
• Small stretch on road, and join the Clyne Valley Cycle Path south back to start.
Hazards: Some stretches of busy road – Between Neath and Pontardawe, and Pontardawe and Trebanos.
