Rhigos & Bwlch from Burger King, Neath

Rhigos & Bwlch
• On road through Cadoxton and on up through the Neath valley on undulating road passing Aberdulais and Resolven to Glynneath.
• Heading southeast from Glynneath onto the Rhigos road for the start of an approx 3.5 mile climb, (max 7%, average 3%), before turning south for the Rhigos climb proper – 3.5 miles at an average 5%, max 7.5% – followed by a thrilling 4 mile descent into Treherbert.
• After lunch, on flat through Treorchy, before turning south-west for the 4.5 mile climb up the Bwlch – with an average gradient of 4.9%, and a max of 10%.
• After regrouping at the top , there’s another fantastic descent – 5.2 miles – on the road, before joining the cycle track at Cymmer.
• From Cymmer we follow the cycle path all the way down into Port Talbot, and more path to Briton Ferry. From there we’ll connect with the Canal Path to Neath and return to Burger King.
• Lunch in Treorchy or Treherbet
