Rhossili
A Swansea & Gower Festival Ride:
A more challenging varaint of festival ride 4 – Head south to The Railway Inn on cyclepath, before joining Gower road for a steep climb (max 10%) out of Upper Killay. Turn right after cattle grid staying on B4271 for approx 1.5 miles before right turn takes us up to Cilonnen Rd and over Welshmoor.
Turn sharp left before Llanrhidian, and then right at Cillobion for the 2 mile climb to the top of Cefn Bryn (Max 10.7%).
Down into Reynoldston, through the village before joining the main south Gower Road, and follow on through Knelston, Scurlage and on to Rhossili for lunch wth a choice of cafes.
Return through Burry, Burry Green, then westand north over the shoulder of Llanmadoc Hill with a steep descent into Llanmadoc. Climb out of Cheriton, then undulating road to Llanrihidian, drop down to Marsh road to Penclawdd, Gowerton to rejoin cycle path back to start.
Start and end at Dunvant RFC
Highlights: Views from Rhossili, and summit of Cefn Bryn.
